Welcome to my story! Hi, I'm Tracy the owner and stylist behind Haute Head Salon HTX. I have been a beauty professional for over 20 years but my hair story goes well beyond that way back to when I was about 11 years old.   Back then, I had an uncle who went to cosmetology school and one day he came over to cut my mom's hair. As I was watching him, I had this very strong feeling rise up in me and I remember thinking to myself that I bet I could do that too! That very day I set out quietly to cut my own hair. I went into my room and after what was probably an hour or so I emerged with what was likely something close to a layered cut (ahem, mullet!). Thankfully, it was the 80's and nobody seemed to notice or care too much that my hair probably wasn't exactly even! And, well... I've been hooked ever since.   My approach to hair is more like making art and is also very much solution- centered, which means that what I do is more of a collaboration with you to create a long-term plan for your look. Because good hair will fall into place, but great, healthy, shiny hair can be your best accessory!  When I'm not in my private salon studio, or taking classes across the globe, you can probably find me crocheting something wild or endearing to gift to friends & family or spending time with my blended family at home doing cooking projects. I am a lifelong learner and completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at University of Houston in 2022. Go Coogs!
